“VAMOS A PERÚ” FUNDRAISER EVENT
This year, we proudly celebrated our second fundraising event, "Vamos a…," welcoming over 150 guests who immersed themselves in the vibrant Peruvian culture through its food, music, and art. A big thank you to Duolingo for returning as our Presenting Sponsor, along with our eight additional sponsors who made this memorable evening a wonderful celebration of Peruvian culture in Pittsburgh!
BACK-TO-SCHOOL BASH
We kicked off the new school year with an incredible turnout of 352 attendees at our BTSB event! The day was a great success, thanks to our presenting sponsor US Steel and 15 partners who tabled at the event. A highlight was the delivery of 200 backpacks to support students in our community, ensuring they have the resources they need for a successful year!
THE IMPACT
.
"I thank the center for helping me with Johnny because I don't know what he would have done with him, it was something that I couldn't afford because it was a large amount of money. Thank you for the support that you have always given to my family, in everything we have needed.
I don't know what I would do if there weren't people like you who could help us. God bless everyone who supports the community.”

“The Latino Community Center has helped me with the delivery of food and diapers. They have helped me with the payment of two months of rent, and I have participated in the pregnancy program. The delivery of food and diapers helped my family a lot during the time of crisis.
The parenting course has helped me a lot with the child. They have given me examples of how to educate my son.
I thank you because the Center helps many people, many Latinos with the services that they provide.”

“Thanks to the center for the great effort to help Hispanics and more to me because I do need it and when I call there or they call me they always help me because I have 4 children and sometimes I don't know what to do, but this year I have been able to do a lot because they have helped me, so thank you for the effort and support you give us.”
